John Tsantes, TCG Founder and President

For more than 15 years, John Tsantes evolved his high-tech PR firm, Tsantes & Associates, into a highly distinguished and respected Silicon Valley agency.  With the 2001 acquisition of Tsantes & Associates by Porter Novelli, retirement became a real possibility.   However, John just wasn't ready to call it quits.   He is back and more passionate than ever to create another high-tech PR firm with the fresh ideas and vision needed to help today's advanced technology companies thrive in the 21st century.

John's 35+ year high-technology career includes design engineering, stints as editor-in-chief of EE Times and managing editor of EDN and nearly 20 years in public relations.   His unique background enables him to act as a technical liaison to agency personnel and as a resource for the media by helping interpret technical developments from clients and the high-tech industry.  

He holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, New York.  

Bob Nelson, Principal

Bob Nelson offers TCG clients more than a decade of public relations expertise, all of which is focused on consumer and deep technology.  He specializes in providing strategic counsel for deep technology and semiconductor clients looking to raise their visibility in an increasingly competitive global communications industry.   Bob works closely with high-level media contacts in North America to secure client placements in leading business and trade publications including The New York Times, BusinessWeek, EE Times, EDN and The San Jose Mercury News.   Bob also oversees the agency's executive visibility program that increases the profile of C-level executives within these key publications.  During his career, Bob has worked with the semiconductor elite including: Cisco, NEC Electronics America, QUALCOMM, NXP Semiconductors and Diamond Multimedia.   While at Diamond, Bob worked on the PR team responsible for the first MP3 player widely available to consumers, the Rio.   Bob holds a bachelor's degree in English from Santa Clara University.

Nancy Sheffield, Principal

Nancy specializes in the creation of strategies and PR campaigns that deliver high-impact results for mature companies and startups.   She has worked on global campaigns for billion dollar companies, and has special expertise launching innovative start ups to industry acclaim.   Her 15-year career spans the semiconductor, electronic design automation, test, multimedia, wireless/handheld and computer industries from IC through system-level product areas.  She has worked with Motorola's Computer Group, Samsung Semiconductor, Synopsys, Cirrus Logic, DRC Computer, SST, Sonics, Meta Software, Trident Microsystems and Xilinx. Nancy has a bachelor's degree in public relations from San Jose State University.
